Well, apparently this toy could quash your belief in faeries because this toy's "special feature" is epic FAIL.
I have the switch in the ON position, I replaced the batteries, and I tested the "default button" switch and all works well. Wave that wand fast, wave it slow, wave it so you make your kid giggle but guess what -- the wand doesn't work. I bought TWO of these dolls (lucky me, my kid already has a Silvermist) and neither have working wands. I went online to see if there was an answer, but apparently I am not alone.
My kid still loves her Disney Fairy dolls, so I won't be returning them...but I am disappointed in Disney's Quality Control. This is a screw-up on a grand scale, and next time, when it comes down to keeping it simple or paying extra for the cool special effect, I think I'll just stick to the basics.
Do yourself (and your kid) a favor: buy the standard dolls. You can dodge the disappointment bullet.
