It came to us as a surpise. My daughter has THE Snow White Cottage just like from the movie, last year limited release toy from Disney store, the one that comes with all those cute thingies just like in the movie too.. the pump that pumps water, the clock, the broom, the tinny little plates, cups, forks! knives! chairs, cupboard and all that. Yes.
We managed to secure THE dwarf set that supposed to come with it (ended paying almost as much as for the cottage itsel'f) the Snow White doll but unfortunately we did not get in time the Prince with the Horse. The whole family was on lookout for Snow White Prince with Horse and not the one that looks like the one that supposed to match the set, there is tons of imitations and "licensed Disney" products that look like it but they are not the Disney Store ones.
Anyways, Grandma got this Prince for my DD birthday thinking this is the one we needed. Well.. It worked all right but it is not what we needed. She was big girl not to show her dissapointment but I know she was.
This doll is just a Prince, no horse. The one with Horse has a golden edge of his blue vest, it has different shoes, different belt and different quality of the robe and of course the one with horse has a hat with a fur whereas this guy has not, he is jsut what he is.
He does not compare even to last year's edition 2009 Prince Snow White with Friends who came with .. well.. a friend. Little Dear, cute and all.being technically the same item yet the one from last year seem more sturdy, well built and the fabrics look richer and more expensive. Something is just different about this guy. So this year no friend :) just a Prince.
I would say this is okay toy, I don't know how it will hold because this year's Flynn from the same series already fall apart on us but then again this one was not played much since we have two differen princes at hand.
Overall it is good toy, I would recommend it but if you have other options then you might want to look into the Prince Snow White and Friends model since it is
just better buy for the money and somewhat cuter overall. My feeling is that the quality might go in pair with that.
