(More customer reviews)This kit looks like so much fun, but it can be tricky. My daughter received it for her 6th birthday. There are five dolls (including a "mystery boyfriend" and four girls), many stencils of outfits to trace onto the blocks of fabric that are included. Our kids' scissors have a tough time cutting through the fabric easily, so I tend to have to cut out each outfit. Also, I can imagine the hundreds of tiny stencil parts getting easily lost. Most of the blocks of fabric are pink or pink-patterned -- the only masculine fabric in the kit is camouflage, which really limits the boyfriend's wardrobe. The recommended ages of 8-14 are probably pretty accurate.
