Jun is a Juku Couture doll by Jakks Pacific toys. She has many points of articulation and can be posed in a huge number of ways. She has trouble with sitting, as she can't both sit and put her thighs together without crossing her legs. This is because she doesn't have articulation at the mid thigh.
She comes dressed in layer after layer of missmatched clothing. If you're obsessive compolsive, as I tend to be, this can be an issue. You'll notice that no matter which of her default items you put together, her clothing is still missmatched.
One of the best things about these dolls is that they are the right size to share clothing with a few other easily acquired dolls. She can wear 90's era Stacey clothing. She can also share clothing with my Card Captor Sakura doll. The small Harry Potter dolls of the 2000 era can wear her clothes, I don't know if she can wear theirs yet.
My biggest issue with this line of dolls is that the packaging has a tendency to damage the doll's clothing. For example, if you buy a fashion pack, the clothing will have holes in it from being clipped to the cardboard. Also, my Jun doll's hair was messed up by a line of elastic at the back of the box that is meant to hold the doll's hair down.
I'm very happy with this doll. I purchased it as a collectible display piece. I don't have the pocket money to buy a true BJD right now, but this doll certainly has the look. She is not strung, she is instead jointed in more of a hinged way.
Her eyes are very lifelike, and her hair is rooted to her head quite firmly. That hair is so stiff! They must have used a lot of product in the styling process.
