She generally loves Barbie (though she's not eager to admit this to her classmates) and to have one working with sea animals is more fun than just dress-up ones. The small animals and accessories make it worth the price. She is not an African-American but preferred this one because of the dark hair (she's not blond) and doll's skin tone looks like her tanned skin. Some of bodysuit's color came off/transferred when she left it on a heated towel bar to dry it, but it did not melt, so still good.
