(More customer reviews)This is to be a holiday gift for a 2 year old. The doll has a magical quality. When my five year old and I pulled it out of the box to check it out, she got the sweetest look on her face that I have never seen before and she immediately held the doll to her in a very sweet manner. I know my 2 year old will love it for a long long time, she is very into "babies" right now. I think this will be the doll she keeps forever. It is a lot of money for a doll but I think it is important to have toys of quality and not quantity. All the clothing is removable and very soft. The size and weight make it feel more substantial and *real* than other dolls of lower quality, however it is still light enough to carry around. I am happy I made the decision to do one toy of great value this season, rather than a bunch of cheap stuff that will quickly be forgotten.
I think dressing the doll will be very good for development of motor skills as well.
If you are looking for a waldorf doll for a younger child, this is the one.
