The reason is, Dwight Eisenhower has been ostracized and effectively ignoredby my country, the U.S. for warning the people about the military-industrial power groups.
Other than him, the U.S. hasn't had a hero except in cartoons. And I didn't want my two kids to latch on to fabricated heroes or heroes were weren't heroes like Jessica lynch or Ronald Reagan as my kids will be educated and they would resent that I lied to them.
Though Fidel isn't an American hero he is real and he did fight for what we call American values. Plus, he transformed a little sugar and tobacco producing island into a medical utopia reaching out to corners of the world so that the island's NUMBER ONE EXPORT TODAY IS HEALTHCARE! Add that Cuba is the FIRST NATION IN THE NORTHERN HEMISPHERE TO WIPE OUT ILLITERACY, ahead of even the U.S.!--and you cant fail to be astonished that Fidel has achieved for Cuba in this world, what the U.S.A. has paid immensely or killed incredibly for--RECOGNITION-for-Doing-the-Right-Thing-for-the-Right-Reason-Around-the-World and truly respected and appreciated by the people of the World! --WHAT A GUY!
