(More customer reviews)$30 is a bit expensive for little plastic animals, but compared with those Calico Critters or whatever they're called, you get more for your buck here. I have a 5yr old girl & a 3yr old boy. the 5yr old loves them; they're small, cute, and some have little ponytails. The 3yr old probably loves them becuse his sister does, but he does play with them, despite clearly being a girl toy. (no sterotypes here!) THere are lots of little pieces that come with them, cute, but chokable for infants & young toddlers. Also lose-able! The small size makes it easy to schlep one or two in a pocket for a trip. THey also have a magnet in one foot (can't come out as far as I can tell) which makes them fun in a tub (metal). These are adorable, and almost any girl would like them. I can see her playing with these (along with her barbies) at leaset until age 6 or so. Can't really see a down side outside of the small size (choking/gone missing). THere's no specific thing a child learns (which is why I put a low Ed score) with them, however they do allow your child imagine all sorts of stories in her head, which is good. We've had previous ones for quite a while; nothing has broken. Good, good fun.
