(More customer reviews)Of all the Legion of Super-Heroes action figures released by DC Direct, (after the initial trio of Cosmic Boy, Saturn Girl, and Lightning Lad) Colossal Boy is the only one to feature custom sculpted gloves for his hands. This may not sound like a big deal, but seeing as how the rest of the bunch "share" sculpts, this is a pretty cool extra effort from the designers.
It seems that old Gim Allon, a.k.a. Colossal Boy has become the hardest to find Legionnaire figure, even harder to get than Mon-El! Therefore wherever you find him, he will most likely be expensive. Depending on your budget, I think that Colossal Boy makes an outstanding addition to anyone's DC Figure line-up, and essential to completing the Legion roster released by DC Direct.
Colossal Boy features bright, bold, and clean colors throughout his silver-aged themed costume making him a standout in the figure crowd. His face is sculpted magnificently and he even has his yellow collar wrapped around his neck. Yes his costume would make Jim Mooney proud since it is realized almost perfectly in plastic as it is on the pages of Action Comics. This is an awesome figure that only really suffers from the same problem that all the Legion figures suffer from: articulation. The articulation isn't bad per se, but it could be so much more - especially in the legs.
I would definitely recommend this figure to any DC comics buff, and it is really a no-brainer for the true Legion of Super-Heroes fan! If you find one at a good price, snap him up!!

A vacation to Mars changed the life of earthling Gim Allon! A strange, glowing meteorite bestowed him with the power to increase his size! COLOSSAL BOY measures approximately 6" tall, features multiple points of articulation and is packaged in a 4-color blister.
