(More customer reviews)This is a precision-cut, thin-plywood model with explicit directions, should you choose to follow them. No tools or glue are required. Tabs fit snugly into slots to hold everything together. It is quite forgiving. We assembled the model twice in about an hour before we got it right; then we discovered the directions. This type of wooden model is a vanishing breed and an excellent value. It is a good project for parent & child or grandparent & child. The finished result is impressive with or without paint. We simply white-washed it with acrylic paint mixed with equal parts water. The printed archectural details show through the white-wash beautifully.
