We purchased this for our 16 mo old son. He loves spiderman, he won't take his slippers off so we thought he would love this. All in all we like it, he keeps going back to it even after another toy is opened. He stands up and dances around as spiderman sings his songs. He isn't too interested in the microphone, but as he realizes what it does he tries more and more. At first we were unhappy with the microphone, thinking it was more of a battery operated type thing that would amplify his voice. But soon we realized it is easier than needing batteries for another toy, since all you have to do is talk into this microphone and it echoes your voice nicely. His 4 year old sister has decided she likes this microphone better than the battery operated Bratz one she received. I know this may seem obvious, but make sure you take it off demo mode with the switch on the bottom of the foot. My husband thought this was just for volume and we were frustrated that the songs were very brief, not in their entirety. Then I checked it over and realized that it wasn't a volume switch and switched it off demo and now it sings and talks more. This really is a very entertaining toy for little ones who like to sing and dance.

Now you can sing and dance along with the world's number one super hero. The Spider-Man & Friends Sing-a-Long Spider-Man performs three songs. Recommended for everyone ages 18 months to 7 years old, kids will love dancing along and singing into the echo fun microphone. Plus, the Spider-Man & Friends Sing-a-Long Spider-Man received the iParenting Media Award for "Greatest Products for 2007." Soft but Sturdy Construction Stuffed with cotton and wrapped with soft synthetic fibers, this battery-powered Hasbro toy of the beloved web-slinger is tough on the inside but soft on the outside. Spider-Man stands on his own and is activated by pressing the buttons on top of his feet. Spidey prompts you to repeat each line of the songs, singing into the echo fun microphone. Without the use of batteries, the brightly-colored and ice cream cone-shaped plastic microphone creates a natural echo that makes singing along fun. The microphone is fun to play with, with or without Spider-Man, but you can't be timid with it to get the echo effect. Spider-Man holds a plush version of the same microphone in his right hand, while his left hand looks ready for web slinging. Both hands rotate as his upper torso moves to the music. The Sing-a-Long Spider-Man comes set in demo mode. To switch the doll to play mode, the button is located on the bottom of his right foot. (Parents take note: This is also where Spider-Man turns off). The volume can be adjusted by pressing the buttons on both feet for low volume, twice for medium volume, and three times for high volume. Spider-Man sings his theme song as well as his own version of kid classics - "Head, Shoulders, Knees & Webs" and "If You're Happy & You Know It." He sings, "If you're happy and you know it, spin a web!" Sing-a-long cards with the lyrics to all three songs can be cut off the back of the box. While Spider-Man has a soft surface, like many child-safe toys, hard hits with this doll could still hurt.
