(More customer reviews)The death of blessed John Paul left me more moved than a Protestant should have been; so when I heard about this little figure of a good man I had to learn more. It's very simple in what is represented, an image of a man devoted to God, to his faith, one true enough to the man himself to help others see him as a good symbol of one who stood by his beliefs.
It's not a toy to merely play with; the John Paul figure is more than that. He's something to stand for faith, determination, honest open love; he is a fitting Sunday School teacher's aide, esp as he can speak for himself, sort of.
Of course I had to get one, he stands on my bureau next to my porcelain unicorn. I sleep better thinking about John Paul, knowing that little symbol is there, helping me pray.
