(More customer reviews)I have never had a figurine (even in my childhood), that looked like the actual character/person it was imitating. This is a great Chris Redfield likeness, and I am really ecstatic about this one. I still want the S.T.A.R.S version of both Chris (who in typing this review about) and Albert Wesker. My review about Wesker is pretty similar to Chris Redfield-BSAA Edition...buy it! I'm starting-out my 12" figurine collection (don't know the frequency I will be purchasing other favs, but I will definitely build my knee-high army Muhah ha ha ha ha---umm sorry lol), and I really starting to see the big deal about these collectors' items. Resident Evil was one of my old-school favorites, and continues to grab me in, so naturally I am a huge fan of the series.
The only negative that I have about Chris is the movement of the arms, the adding of the pouches to the figurine (you will need forceps/tweezers to attach the pouches to his belt along with safety-pins to keep them from slipping-off.), the placing of the headset, and the connecting of the blade on his back. Along with these helpful tips, I also suggest Googling-up 1:6 scale loose action figure parts to replace the weapons that Hot Toys give you. It's not that the weapons are terrible looking, but I felt that a tactical M4 with scope and M203 grenade launcher attachment was better than the SIG assault rifle that Chris comes with. The fact that Wesker came with the Desert Eagle, MP5, S&W 500 Magnum, and Hydra Shotgun was ridiculous. Wesker only uses the custom 9mm Beretta, knife (can't recall him using a knife, but he does use blades), and his hands. Wesker is a Super-human Bio-weapon of Umbrella....why does he need all of these weapons?! This is why I say buy Chris (BSAA or S.T.A.R.S) and Wesker (Midnight Edition or S.T.A.R.S) collectively because this will increase Chris's weapon stockpile. The most I'm doing for Wesker will be the addition of a FN-P90 Sub-Machine-gun, b/c Wesker reminds me of Solidus Snake...both are superior (physically) to their counterparts, and need a bad-@#$ weapon to boot...preferably fully automatic.
Bottom-line you need to own this if you are a 12" action figure collector, or even a Resident Evil Fan. Great Stuff Hot Toys!
