This was my first model kit to build in almost 10 years. I was impressed by the simplicity of putting the parts together,as almost no fitting was required at all. Everything went together as you would expect them to. Attention to detail on the part of Revell was very nice.

I just finished building this kit today and finally breathed a sigh of relief! It should really be a Skill Level 3 kit. The fit is terrible in the wings and engine nacelles, but the most annoying fit problem for me was with the anti-sway brackets on the pylons. They don't fit...That's all there is to it. Be prepared to have to sand down all 22 of the brackets. Even then I had to leave some of them off because I couldn't get the weapons payload to attach to the pylons with the anti-sway brackets in the way. I'm still a rookie when it comes to using filler, but I had to use it on this kit and, luckily, it came out not too bad. When the model was completed, it looked rather nice. That's why I would give this kit 3 stars out of 5. I've said it earlier but it must be said again: You will HAVE to use contour putty and do lots of sanding for this kit to look even remotely nice.

1:48 scale. When Winston Churchill spoke of the few that gave so much, he was referring to the R.A.F. pilots in their Spitfires. Originally a seaplane, the Spitfire won a competition to become the R.A.F.'s number one fighter. It proved to be more than a match for the best that Germany could muster. Its kill ratio was 10 to 1 in the skies over England. Features: Detailed cockpit area, landing gear, waterslide decals. 34 pieces. SKILL 2
