(More customer reviews)These were made in 1999 by McFarlane toys, very cool. The look captures the animated film, "Yellow Submarine", perfectly. So it includes a 7" tall George Harrison action figure, plus a yellow submarine from the same movie. The submarine is made of the same thick stuff as the action figure, instead of a delicate plastic. It is not made for sticking in water, but for display. Again, they captured the look really well.

The line is based on the classic Beatles Cartoon series. Produced by King Features, the cartoon premiered in the U.S. in 1965 and ran for two immensely popular seasons. This line of figures is based on the Beatles' animated appearance in that series.
