I have come to loathe all things "Prequel," but when the hype surrounding the (then) upcoming Episode I was at its peak, I enthusiastically bought all of Kenner's 12" figures in the Episode I line. My favorite of the bunch is the Qui-Gon Jinn figure.
Pros - This is a really good looking figure. The head sculpt is great, and looks a lot like the character, the Jedi robes are nice, and I love the new lightsaber design. It's also very poseable. I thought the real hair was an especially nice touch, though I could see that ending up badly depending on how much it was played with.
Cons - I suppose he could have been a bit taller (Liam Neeson is a tall dude), but other than that I have no complaints. Kenner did a great job with this one.
Despite my feelings about the movie, I have to admit these are some of Kenner's absolute best 12" Star Wars figures. The Star Wars Qui-Gon Jinn 12" Action Figure has since surpassed this one, but for the price this Qui Gon Jinn figure is hard to beat.

The new 12-inch collector dolls from Star Wars: Episode I, The Phantom Menace have taken the previous lines' attention to detail to gratifying new levels of authenticity. This rendition of Episode I's Qui-Gon Jinn features the Jedi Master wearing belted, tan fatigues underneath a hooded, flowing traditional Jedi robe; his hand clutches a lightsaber to do battle against the evil Darth Maul. The facial features of this Qui-Gon are especially well done--unlike most previous Star Wars dolls, this large collectible Jedi figure features real doll hair. --Jerry McCulley
