I have three daughters, all five-and-under (Lord help me in about 10 years when they're all teenagers...but that's another story).
Anyway...bought the game for the 5-year-old & 4-year-old who are HUGE PowerPuff Girls fans. I ignored the "Good for 8 years and up" warning when I bought it. VERY GOOD move on my part. We had to "change" the directions just a bit...but the girls love this game.
It's probably the only (non-computer!) game that the two of them actually play on their own. The game is durable. Teaches them a bit (a very little bit) about counting. Youngsters may need a little help in reading some of the cards. Otherwise...pure entertainment.

Little Kids Bubble Twister by Little Kids Review

(More customer reviews)This bubble maker has been "field tested" for hours by the neighborhood kids. They've develop different "techniques" for swinging the wand around and they can create somewhat different bubbles and sizes. (one 6 yr old was *sure* that soaking the wand in solution for 5 minutes helped it make bigger bubbles, but let me say that this isn't true...)
I also recommend a stronger bubble solution. I found a home recipe for giant bubbles using dishwashing liquid. It's cheap, fast to make & you can make a bunch at one time. Works MUCH better than what is supplied.
We ended up getting about 4 of these wands because they are the popular choice when we set up a bubble station. Great for birthday parties, by the way, along with some kind of bean bag toss station. p.s. The sword type bubble blower we had was our least favorite - it didn't work for us at all.
