(More customer reviews)I wasn't expecting to like this toy when I read about it, but it is ADORABLE! My daughter (almost 6) has never been into baby dolls, but she loves ponies. This is a fantastic combination of the two--a baby-doll AND a pony to love. She has taken her everywhere since she got her--everywhere. She tucks her in each night, and buckles her into a seat belt in the car.
*The baby pony sucks her bottle (or your finger), makes cute little coos, burps, sighs, etc.
*The volume is just right, unlike many toys
*She turns herself on and off with activity or lack of--she goes dormant after a short while of inactivity, but re-awakens as soon as she is "loved" again.
**comes with batteries already installed and only has 3 twist ties to get her out of the box! NO CHAIN SAW REQUIRED!!!
Take her out of the box, and she's ready to play!
Definitely worth every penny!

(More customer reviews)I feel sorry for Minty standing there on her shelf looking cute and asking nicely for somebody to come play with her. After these many months, Tulip Twinkle is still the first pony to be handled and played with.
I would have rated durability at about 95% if I could have. The only trouble is that it's rather easy to pull the hair out strand by strand, but that's not a normal activity. Oh, and keep her away from most electrical things like television and computer monitors because the tensile strands in her hair are drawn outward directly to the appliance. Though this is amusing in appearance, it's a bit of a chore to get them reintegrated with the pony's hair. Because of the magnet in her foot, you don't want her near your computer anyway, right?
I stated that the educational value is excessively high because this hair is friendly in teaching you to brush it, and at the same time, if you accomplish your styling goals, you will have become an expert. You can apply many of the skills you learn from brushing and styling this pony's hair without pulling it out to brushing and styling human hair without damaging it. (Human hair is far less forgiving, aside from the fact that it normally grows back eventually. I don't know how they make pony hair, but it seems to almost guess what you're trying to do with it and give you a bit of an assist.)
Oh, and yes, the head moves, and that's very thoughtful and considerate of Hasbro, and we're very grateful to them for that! She's really nice, and we do not have lead poisoning because this is a Hasbro toy, which means it's made by people who care deeply about the well-being of their target markets, and it shows!
And the magnet in the pony's foot is strong enough to hold her on the vertical surface of the refrigerator door, in case you're so inclined.
Oh, and the image provided is NOT Tulip Twinkle. I don't have an image, or I'd submit it. But I bet you could find a picture of her if you google Tulip Twinkle and pick the images option. Yeah, she looks funny with her Hasbro packaging hair-do, but you'll soon fix that!

(More customer reviews)The first thing that caught my attention was the fact that her butterfly 3D cutie mark looks like it fell off and somebody sanded the area and glued it back on, but it's hardly noticeable if you're not looking for defects. I donno, maybe the one I got wasn't new, but I don't wanna go blaming the seller if I don't know for sure. She sure was taped in like Hasbro did it! Her tail seems longer than usual, and her mane, though lovely, will ultimately need some creative styling, unless she's being used as a toy, which is precisely what she is, so mine still hasn't had much done to her hair, and she's really cute!!! The 3D cutie mark feels solid, but I don't wanna be rough with it to see if it will fall off. I would just recommend to any parent that this toy should be handled with care if given to any child who might become injured by a small fibreglass butterfly just in case it does come loose. I donno, I'm inspecting it pretty closely now, and I don't see any loose places, but again, I don't wanna get violent with her to see if her butterfly breaks off. Just tell your kids to "play nicely" like I do =) That seems to work! She's lovely, she's pretty, and she's cute, and that's what ponies are for in my opinion =)

(More customer reviews)I have been a pony collector for as long as I can remember, and becuase I was born in 1983 MLP has been around for even longer :). While these ponies are in the same style as the old ones I think it is my job to say that they are not *just* like the older ones you may remember. The colors are much darker than they first were, more bright colors than the pastel shades. This is most true in the case of Minty and Blossom.
Also, their tails are very thin so there is not as much hair to brush :\
All and all these sets are great if you are not very picky or don't remember their colors well, but a true MLP collector may want to see them first before buying :).
I myself am getting a set, my childhood Minty needs a friend :).

(More customer reviews)There has been a change in the little ponyville ponies in the last few months and this has extended to these larger ponys. They now have the Hairstyles in a snap, which means these ones no longer have manes which you can brush.
Instead, scootaloo has two hat/wigs which can fit on her head, she also comes with shoes and two plastic costumes.
She comes in a resuseable box (EXCELLENT!) this was such a good idea, that means there is limited packaging, and what it comes in is mostly reuseable -a great recycling idea and it is a really pretty carry bag too.
Overall my kids love these new ideas. The ponys are great and extend out what they can do with them.

(More customer reviews)This is a fairly straightforward pony from ponyville, Sunny Daze comes with a swing a couple of bunches of flowers, a pink hat and a bird. I was surprised my daughter picked this one as there didn't seem to be much to it, but she loved the little bird which sits on the top of the swing.
It doesn't do much else but we have put it next to the Pinkie Pie Balloon house and Sunny Daze and the other ponies have turns playing on this and on the see saw which comes with the house.
I would recommend that you buy some of the other bits and pieces first before you get this, or buy this when you get the Balloon house as an extra piece and an extra pony to play with.

The pieces store in the boutique nicely and she can transport it very easily from our house to Grandma's. The ponies and accessories are very durable. Even the letters for the mailbox have lasted! What a great product. Now all she wants for her b-day are more Ponyville items and I'll happily get them for her knowing they're well made.

She sleeps with it every night and before they go to sleep she has to push the foot and go through all of the phrases. Everybody's favorite little pony is back, sporting a bright new mane and a purple tail, and ready to share her nap time with you. Children ages three and older who love stuffed animals will love this toy.She Sings and Talks Press My Little Pony's foot, and she will tell you she's sleepy, then ask if you will rock her to sleep. Rock My Little Pony to sleep, and she makes baby cooing noises and sings "Rock-a-Bye Baby." Children who like to sleep with toys or who have trouble transitioning to bedtime will find My Little Pony especially appealing, since most of the songs and phrases are related to sleeping. She Is Soft and Cuddly The body and limbs of My Little Pony are constructed of soft, plush material that's securely and durably stitched. The face is made of hard plastic with painted eyes and a molded nose and mouth. The hard plastic face permits both robust play and easy cleaning--just a quick wipe with a mild soap and water is all it takes. The pony's mane and tail are made of fine nylon. The mane is firmly attached; even repeated tuggings kept everything where it should be--an important feature, since it's likely that the toy will be carried around by its hair at some point.The tail displayed some minor shedding, but it's probable that these were just stray threads. Both the mane and tail are sewn, rather than glued. Overall, the design and construction are excellent. A minor quirk is that the toy is a bit heavy due to the weight of the toy's battery pack and the internal voice mechanism. For older children, this won't an issue since the extra weight is mere ounces. However, if your child is the type who likes to carry a stuffed friend with him all day, especially if he is very young, this might be a factor to consider.She Tells You Want She Wants By pressing on My Little Pony's foot, your child will hear one of three phrases: "I love you," "Will you rock me to sleep?", and "I'm sleepy." When the toy is rocked back and forth, it sings "Rock-A-Bye Baby" and coos with baby-like noises. The pony's voice is sweet and child-like. There are two settings on a switch on the back of the toy, which an adult will probably need to assist a child with, since it's a bit difficult to access. One reaches the switch located inside the toy, just below the neck, through an opening at the back which is held together with Velcro. Contrary to expectations, the settings aren't "on" and "off" but "demo" and "play." In the demo mode, the toy only speaks (no singing) by the foot-pressing method. In "play" mode, the toy's full range of features is activated, where the pony sings and speaks when being rocked or when moved. Pressing on the foot for speech is also an option in play mode. In addition to the toy's vocal ability, your child can pretend to change the pony's diaper, which is permanently sewn at the back, and opens and closes at the sides with Velcro. This semi-attachment is a positive feature, since it would otherwise be likely to get lost or fall off. (More customer reviews)In addition to the sweet and clothes emphasis of Ponyville, there is now a music theme - which is great! My daughters love this new idea, and they really have taken to Star Song and the whole music theme.
There is a saxomphone, some music and a piano in here, amongst other bits and pieces. It is a small set, but it goes with some of the other ones quite well. The Teapot palace has a music theme in it, as does the amusement park (which is the family favourite now)
So this is a nice little collection - unfortunately the pieces are pretty easily lost though! However a good addition to Ponyville thanks and fun.

(More customer reviews)My 4 year old was given this as a birthday gift and it has been her favorite thing ever since. I'll admit I don't get the appeal, but it's her toy and it goes everywhere with her. She likes the binky and that it's a baby. She also likes that it coos and makes sucking noises when you put the binky in and says "I love you" and something like "Sweetie Belle is tired". It's very cute and encourages her to 'mother' it. Whatever the appeal, it has been dragged, dropped, thrown, lost, found, bounced around, etc., and it looks as good as the day she got it. The binky is not attached in any way so it's been lost for a while. She doesn't seem to care. All in all, the best birthday gift she got by far (in terms of use) and a solid, great toy.
