(More customer reviews)"Chico", as he has been christened, has proven to be a worthy and comforting companion. Despite his asymmetrical physique, this lowly Chocobo provides hours of satisfying coddles and absorbs tears from the eyes of a girl who is maddened by the doldrums of a cold world of paperwork daily, always returning to his previously dry state for non-soggy affection the next day.
Fun factor: 4/5. While a suitable companion, the lack of verbalization proves to be rather disheartening. Just the other day I had embellished at length on the state of today's economy yet all I received in return was a (at my estimation) skeptical winking eye. It is still unknown whether this was an act of spite or a come-on, although the latter may be inferred after my recent awakening to a beak near my unmentionables.
Educational value: 3/5. Because Chico is more of a silent and sagely creature (a winged Buddha, if you will), he does not confer much knowledge to me. However, my reading skills have vastly improved after taking him under my "wing" as a captive audience to my nightly storytime. We have recently broken into the tomes of E. Allan Poe: "Quoth the chocobo, nevermore..."
5/5. In consideration of the fact that my chocobo friend has not lost any extremeties nor disappeared in the night after being subjected to the effects of TMJ, constricted nasal passages, restless leg syndrome, and the occasional aftereffects of a hearty meal from Taco Bell, I would say Twinkies, Duct Tape, and cockroaches have some stiff competition.
Overall rating: 4/5. If this little plush fellow could speak and/or return love, I do believe he'd qualify as one of my closest friends. However, for now, he remains my silent cuddle companion in the night and favorite mode of transportation while exploring the Ozmone Plains...
