BFG Ink is by "MGA Entertainment" which releases other products, notably the Brats Dolls. You know, the ones with the big heads lol.
INTRO:
My 7 yrs old niece has the Addison doll. When I first saw it I thought, wow what a kool cute doll and very detailed! She is wearing, "skinny jeans," and converse low tops with really nice hair. Cute round face. No supermodel jaw line face. These dolls are expensive but they are high quality. My niece carries this doll around. She once came over wearing a dress which matched the dress she put on the doll! Apparently there are some clothing makers that are attatching miature doll size replicas with the child size outfit. BFG Ink also sells outfit packages separately. Beyond that, there is also a dolls scene out there that has people sewing their own outfits for these as well as selling guide templates to make them. Check Etsy for that. I downloaded a free guide template for my mom who is making my my niece a new outfit. I got it from liberty jane clothing. Kids really get into changing the clothes & apparently adults do too lol. If you are buying this as a gift you can team up with another relative so that one buys the doll and another buys an outfit. Make sure the girl opens the doll gift first of course.
BFG Ink VS American Girl Dolls (For those wondering)
My niece called this an American Girl Doll (which are popular right now) but after researching I found that it is a BFC Ink "Best Friends Club" doll. American Girl dolls are also nice because they are much more modest in general, with a fuller figure, rounder faces, and modest features. They also have a better philosophy in my opinion that is more positive for young girls but you can search for "American Dolls wiki" for more info. It also depends on your child's personality as which to get. It is well worth looking into. These BFG dolls are modest looking as well but leaning more toward the trendy kool clique side. Thankfully not too extreme like the Barbie Fashionistas Glam Doll which has supermodel wealthy celebrity looks and style. American Girl Dolls are into history and learning with non-judgmental modest appearances. BFG dolls look like your regular trendy fun school girl with still some modesty left in them that I can appreciate. Their philosophy is about girls being best friends and school. The official website has printable content for download such as membership cards for friends and quiz papers. If I had to be picky, I'd mention that I didn't like the question which asked for the latest gossip and some of it is a little too clique-ish.

PRO
Body has articulation, movable joints but I'm not sure how many.
High Quality. Hair especially.
Cute trendy overall appearance while still retaining some modesty.
Doll has a genuine personality & real look as opposed to fake attitudes and superficial beauty seen in unrealistic magazines.
Comes with Best Friends Club membership card (and if her little sister rips it up like happened to my niece, you can go online to print one)
Comes with Best Friends Club journal.
Cute outfit and accessories.
You can purchase more outfits in packages.
CON
Even with the school journal writing stuff I still think it could be more educational like American Girls are with history.
Expensive, costs more then an average doll.
May have a too click-like kool girl club philosophy for some.
All dolls are skinny. Some may not like that as people come in different sizes. Skinny is not the happy middle average (see American Dolls for that.)
LAST WORDS
It was difficult for me to make a con list because this really is a well made doll. One of the best I've seen. I think many school girls are able to relate to a doll like this rather then most Barbie Dolls. I can see them saying things such as, "She looks just like me" or "She looks just like Auntie and my big sister"
