(More customer reviews)I wasn't expecting to like this toy when I read about it, but it is ADORABLE! My daughter (almost 6) has never been into baby dolls, but she loves ponies. This is a fantastic combination of the two--a baby-doll AND a pony to love. She has taken her everywhere since she got her--everywhere. She tucks her in each night, and buckles her into a seat belt in the car.
*The baby pony sucks her bottle (or your finger), makes cute little coos, burps, sighs, etc.
*The volume is just right, unlike many toys
*She turns herself on and off with activity or lack of--she goes dormant after a short while of inactivity, but re-awakens as soon as she is "loved" again.
**comes with batteries already installed and only has 3 twist ties to get her out of the box! NO CHAIN SAW REQUIRED!!!
Take her out of the box, and she's ready to play!
Definitely worth every penny!

Franklin Mint Princess Diana, The People's Princess, White Suit Review

I was very happy to get it through Amazon.com and the vendor that had it was great! They kept me informed through the whole shipping process and followed up with how happy I was with it.
I know it's just a doll dress but I bought my other Diana clothes through Franklin Mint and stopped because they had their customer service dept in India and it was hard to understand them when I called in to get help and was glad to just order this outfit here in the USA!
I would order thru this vendor again.

She likes to hold and cuddle her toys, so I've slowly been purchasing them in their soft forms...they still have the plastic head, so the features more closely resemble the princesses over the dolls that are soft in their entirety. She tends to play with the soft dolls much more, and is able to sleep with them as well.

I was brought back to this doll because of the reviews and I have to say that they were all right!! This doll has served its purpose over and over. The soft doll became like "the blanket" to her. She loves the silky edge on the dolls dress. I have also washed it numerous times and was surprised that it didn't get that "washed" look to it. She still sleeps with this doll and prefers it over all of her toys. This is our 3rd daughter. I wish my other girls had had a doll like this. I know you will be happy with this baby!!

I haven't had it long enough to know how durable it will be, but it's not machine washable like some of the older ones from the 90's, and the inside edges of the clothing look like they would fray in the wash. The tag says "surface washable." The face is embroidered except for the eyes, which are button eyes. The height of the doll is similar to the one I had as a child. It is made in China.

Mint Memories Porcelain Barbie Doll 1988 Limited Edition Review

(More customer reviews)This gorgeous porcelain doll makes a wonderful gift for the adult or mature young Barbie collector. Porcelain dolls are too delicate and breakable to be good playthings for girls.
First, I should state I bought my doll from an estate sale, so she is used and not in mint condition. She is missing her tea cup and saucer, which I understand is rimmed with 24 carat gold. You may have seen the photo of my doll: she is holding a plastic Rement cup instead. Otherwise, she is complete.
She is the first in a series of two dolls in the Victorian Tea collection. The second, Orange Pekoe, seems to be higher valued than this doll, but I haven't seen her in person. I believe she might be the only porcelain Barbie with an articulated neck, but I might be mistaken on this point. I have a collection of historically dressed dolls, which is why I was originally attracted to Mint Memories.
This is my first porcelain Barbie, and I was blown away with how beautiful her face is. Her facial screening is soft with pink blush and lips, and matching nail polish. She is auburn haired (not brunette) and has gorgeous green eyes. Her hair is done in a complex updo with lots of curls, including curly bangs.
Her outfit is removable, and is two pieces. The skirt is a mint-colored satin brocade with a bustle, lace ruffle, and ribbon and pink rose trim and train. It falls perfectly. The top is a puffy shoulder snap-closure piece, with pearl and cream lace trim, and a ribbon bow at the neckline with a tiny pink cameo at the center. The doll is wearing pearl earrings, and a tiny hat with netting, ribbon roses and mint satin, plus period-style booties to complete her Victorian era look.
The details of her costume and her gorgeous face make her a perfect addition to any collection--especially if you love historical costumes, delicate faces and want a unique and soft outfit to add to your collection. (She looks wonderful displayed next to the Wedgewood Barbies.)
