(More customer reviews)This owl is ingenious! I'm impressed with most of the Folkmanis puppets, but Snowy's truly incredible. Hands of all sizes can have hours of creative fun with this beautiful bird - whose head actually rotates 360 degrees! An added bonus is the soft, lifelike plush coat. Not for nocturnal use only!

This puppet is a real head-turner! Besides being able to make his head turn 360 degrees, you can animate this Snowy Owl's feather-soft wings to create a real flap in your neck of the woods!
Movable wings and rotating head
The snowy owl is found from the north of Greenland to the south shores of Hudson Bay and along the northern perimeters of Alaska and Canada, and also in the tundra areas of Siberia and Scandinavia. The males may be almost completely white, but the females usually have more extensive black markings on their head, wings and body. The chief food of snowy owls is lemmings, although they also feed on various other small animals such as ground squirrels, mice, and rabbits. They are skilled in catching fish, lying in wait on the banks of lakes or rivers to seize one in their claws. Occasionally, birds are caught in the air and eaten. The large, nocturnal eyes are deceptive, as snowy owls usually hunt by day.
