(More customer reviews)I wasn't very impressed with Nolee's My Scene debut last year, so I found her second incarnation a very pleasant surprise. She's easily my favorite in the "Back to School" collection.
Unlike her friends Barbie, Chelsea and Madison, Nolee in this instance has a very modest wardrobe, neither too dressy or too racy. With the possible exception of her miniskirt, Nolee's out fit to me seems the most appropriate for a school theme. Her footwear--platform boots and athletic shoes--are attractive but not provocative (no high heels!).
But most importantly, all of Nolee's clothing items are color-coordinated; I love the blue/mauve combination. As for Nolee herself, she's very cute with those double knots topping her hairdo.
From what I've read from Mattel's press materials, the ethnic identity of Barbie's My Scene friends has intentionally left vague, so that the child can make her (or his) own choice. I'm an adult, but I tend to idenify Nolee as Asian/Asian American. Whatever...she's very cute! Just go out and get one!
