(More customer reviews)The Topaz edition of this Yamato series, like the 4 other figures, are based on the same samurai pose with sword. I have a review similar to this one, on the Sapphire in Amazon. Topaz is unique from the other 4 in that there are two swords to pick from, and a removable eye patch. Each of the 5 figures come in a different color scheme as far as costume and hair and skin color.
The artist is Kouichi Yamazaki, the collections being TANDEM TWIN's clan of Lynx Animal Girls. Each figure is named by a jewel stone. The distributor is Yamato.
The figure list is as follows:
1) Ruby (first of series, dark brown hair, pale white skin, blue top)
2) Emerald (second of series, red hair, un-naturally orange skin, black top)
3) Amethyst (first of second group, black hair, pink skin, black top)
4) Topaz (second of second group, blonde hair, tanned skin, two swords and removable eye patch)
5) Sapphire (third of second group, red hair, natural white skin, flame with kanji tattoo on back, kanji tattoo on upper left arm)
The eye patch on the Topaz is small and flimsy, just kind of sits over the eye and is subject to falling off when the figure is moved. This is the only negative thing I have to say.
The figures are made of PVC, with the removable halter top made of flexible rubber. The paint job is exceptionally well-done, the coloring and gradient excellent.
Several of the figures are no longer available unless a second production under a re-release is subsequently done.
