(More customer reviews)This figurine is an accurate and beautiful representation of Yuna from Final Fantasy X. The plastic or resin of the figure is beautifully detailed and decorated, brightly colored and very flexible. Her arms and head flex well and seem durable, and there are replacement hand pieces for pose options. The staff is loose and can be changed to either hand and also incorporates a flexible tassel. There are several flexible tassels and ribbons on her costume which add to the realism of the figure. My only complaint is that the legs dont actually have flexibility at all but they are enough for her to stand on. The figurine comes with a doll stand as well. This figure would be a worthy addition to a collection or on its own.

(More customer reviews)I became OBSESSED with Miku Hatsune by my friend sending me a video of her on youtube and instantly fell in love. Remarkable voice, clothes, and personality this girl will mark your heart for a life time.
I was quite pleased upon getting this figurine since it was my first but certainly not my last. She comes with two different faces,two leeks, the microphone and stand, the stand that holds her in midair, and a couple of sets of different hands(about 5 sets) and also given a bag where you can keep all these accessories and NOT lose them.
I became scared when people were mentioning she was falling apart on them when they only had her for less than 5 minutes and was praying I wasn't one of them. There was an article going around that a lot of Miku Hatsune figurines were fake and breaking easily so if she's durable and nicely made than she's the real deal (study the picture of her and make sure she's not missing her 01 mark on her arm or chips on her skirt and such). I was VERY gentle as if she was glass when I first got her but was horribly too gentle cause the most pain about this figurine is putting on the hands. Sometimes it's stubborn of not going in and I had to be quite rough just to switch her hands. I think that's the only bad thing about her but I truly love her and change her positions like every other week.
Be careful on getting the wrong figurine and hope you enjoy this wonderful doll. A perfect present for a big fan of Miku. Expensive but worth it. I hope you enjoy this product as much as me. Take care.

Peace@Pieces Hikaru 1/8 Scale PVC Figure By Alter Review

(More customer reviews)The craftsmanship on this figure is great; the paintjob looks awesome, the pose is great and the figure is pretty sturdy. There's maybe one spot which the paint looks "worse" than the rest, around her hand, but it is a pretty small area and literally unnoticeable unless you pick her up and look really closely. Setup is easy, though the base was a bit tight putting on, not just the pegs being too large or small, one of her feet was turned a little bit too far to push down onto the peg, though overall I found that makes her MORE sturdy, not less. So no objections there.
Package arrived in great condition; the box containing the figure didn't even have any noticible dings or dents from shipping. Ontop of that, the package arrived a day -before- the scheduled day(s) of arrival, so that's definitely a plus. Looking forward to future buisness with this company!

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya - 12" Asahina Mikuru Action Figure Doll Review

(More customer reviews)I don't know if she's worth the near $200 asked for here, but I got her for a quarter of that elsewhere, and I love her. She's the cutest rendition of Mikuru in toy form. Unlike a number of PVC figures, she doesn't look upset or embarrassed in this form. She has a lovely smile! Her outfit, although plain, looks great. Her PVC hair is a plus. You never have to worry about doing her hair, and it looks great the way it is. The attention to detail is stunning. Her underwear is even as it appears in the anime.
The accessories are a mixed bag. I don't care for Yuki's glasses or the oven mitten. The glasses are so cheap they included two, and the mitten doesn't really fit on her hand very well. It also looks too big. However, she comes with a few extra hands, and the blue tray is nice, albiet simple. I have my Mikuru on display holding the tray, and she looks great doing it! Keep in mind that she doesn't come with a stand. You will need to buy that separately. Either that, or lean her against the wall. Or keep her sitting down.
She's got a good doll body. It comes apart in all the right places so you can dress Mikuru any way you want, and everything fits together snugly so you won't find an arm on the floor or anything. I'm not a fan of the knee and elbow joints, though. They're not a problem in her default outfit because they're covered up, but the joints may annoy you if you dress her up with other outfits that expose her joints. Perhaps long sleeves and short skirts with stockings would look good. Keep in mind, though, that she has a Mikuru-sized chest. Not all outfits will fit properly in that area.
If you're a total Mikuru nut like I am, you could do much worse than this doll. Her character is captured perfectly, and she's the most wonderful rendition of Mikuru outside of the anime itself.

(More customer reviews)Yeah, I'm a straight, adult male, but I have loved Sailor Moon since I first discovered her early in college and have a tidy little collection of Sailor Moon items (wish I had more of the DVDs). What's not to love about a cartoon where 5 gorgeous girls in amped-up sailor school uniforms fight monsters? And Sailor Moon herself, Serena in the states, Usagi in Japan, is the perfect girl. This 17 inch doll is unquestionably the prize of my Sailor Moon toy collection. I've had her on display in a place of honor ever since I bought her, many years ago. Essentially, she is just like the smaller North American Sailor Moon fashion dolls (there was a 6 inch line and an 11.5 inch line), only A LOT bigger. She's got the same gorgeous outfit and boots, pigtails, moon wand, flowing hair, and all. Her 5 points of articulation are the hips, shoulders, and head, but for me all she has to do is stand there and look gorgeous! A must for the Sailor Moon fanatic!

Chobits Talking Sumomo Action Figure Review

(More customer reviews)I have to give Toynami credit. When I saw the pre-release stock photo, I was not impressed by the quality of the figure in that photo. Toynami tries hard to make Chobits Talking Sumomo Action Figure stand out by using cloth outfit, but the pink coloring looked rather dark in the photo. Fortunately, the actual release features a bright pink cloth outfit, more fitting for Sumomo's sunny personality. The cloth portions are the shoulders, the legs, and the sash around the waist, ending in a big bow in the back.
The 1:1 scale Sumomo stands 7 inches tall (not six as described on the manufacturer's website), and the clear stand adds another 1/4 inch in height. Toynami includes a small instruction sheet, which is actually necessary to figure out how to replace the batteries.
As advertised, Sumomo does talk. You'll need to PRESS AND HOLD the button on the back of Sumomo's talk on her left side, in order to get the sound function to work. If you just jab at the button, it may not work. For the longer phrases, you'll need to keep the button down in order to hear the entire message. To me this is a design flaw. There should have been a way for consumers to hear longer phrases by just pressing the button, instead of holding it down.
This product is an action figure in the broad sense of the term. You can turn the head around, move the arms up and down, and move the legs too. But it would have been nice if the hands were articulated to allow for more than one pose.
The Chobits Talking Sumomo Action Figure from Toynami is an interesting but flawed product. Nonetheless, fans of the Sumomo character will want to buy this release for its novelty talking and cloth aspects.

Tenchi Muyo Princess Ayeka Action Figure Review

(More customer reviews)Ever since I started watching Tenchi Muyo, Ayeka was my favorite of the girls. I bought a doll like this over eight years ago at a Suncoast, and played with her daily. However, the doll I played with in the past was lost due to us moving things around in the house, and thus losing track of many things. I finally have an Ayeka doll again, so I'm glad for that. It's always a joy to have a tangible form of your favorite character.
The doll itself is very durable and moves into any position. However, as is the case with this line, her hair is a hard plastic and is very difficult to move without breaking pieces off. Even changing her clothes with other Barbie clothes was difficult due to her clothes having velcro in the front (no doubt to avoid the trouble of maneuvering around her pigtails), and other doll clothes velcroing in the back. My last Ayeka doll had her two ponytails in the back knocked off due to constant playing. I kept the ponytails, but was actually much happier than Ayeka could move her head more freely without her two pigtails keeping her facing forward.
So in other words, if you want this doll to remain intact (and by that I mean, with her two back pigtails), then don't try to move her head too much. And if she's sitting on something, make sure there's space in between it and a wall so her hair won't make it difficult.

TANDEM TWIN's Animal Girls - Lynx (Topaz) 1-6 scale PVC statue by Yamato Review

(More customer reviews)The Topaz edition of this Yamato series, like the 4 other figures, are based on the same samurai pose with sword. I have a review similar to this one, on the Sapphire in Amazon. Topaz is unique from the other 4 in that there are two swords to pick from, and a removable eye patch. Each of the 5 figures come in a different color scheme as far as costume and hair and skin color.
The artist is Kouichi Yamazaki, the collections being TANDEM TWIN's clan of Lynx Animal Girls. Each figure is named by a jewel stone. The distributor is Yamato.
The figure list is as follows:
1) Ruby (first of series, dark brown hair, pale white skin, blue top)
2) Emerald (second of series, red hair, un-naturally orange skin, black top)
3) Amethyst (first of second group, black hair, pink skin, black top)
4) Topaz (second of second group, blonde hair, tanned skin, two swords and removable eye patch)
5) Sapphire (third of second group, red hair, natural white skin, flame with kanji tattoo on back, kanji tattoo on upper left arm)
The eye patch on the Topaz is small and flimsy, just kind of sits over the eye and is subject to falling off when the figure is moved. This is the only negative thing I have to say.
The figures are made of PVC, with the removable halter top made of flexible rubber. The paint job is exceptionally well-done, the coloring and gradient excellent.
Several of the figures are no longer available unless a second production under a re-release is subsequently done.

Genshiken: Saki Kasukabe 7" PVC Statue Figure Review

(More customer reviews)I've had this figure for about a year now. It is very nice to look at. It is not quite to scale with the Ohno figure available elsewhere which is a little sad. She does fall over a lot, but has had no breakage issues. Not sure I want to go the super glue route quite yet. A note not mentioned in the packaging: you can get her to hold the helmet also. At least I did. Looks much nicer than just sitting at her feet or on her head. After all I want to look at her, not the hat.

Tandem Twin Animal Girls - Leopard Girl - Schell Review

(More customer reviews)As one reviewer has pointed out; these are not children's toys, oh no, not by any means! They are wonderful little collectable figurines of which I have quite a large collection. Be not fearful though, I am well into my twenties, have had sex many times, do not let children play with my figurines when they visit, and enjoy my little hobby.
This particular figurine, while not my favorite, is indeed quite nice though. She reminds me of an old girl friend so that makes it kind of special I suppose. My current partner does not know this, and I am not about to tell her, but that is a different story.
The details on this one are quite nice and workmanship great. I know the character calls for it, but the tail is a bit much on this one. This was and is a nice addition to my collection.
Again, these little figurines are not for children in any size, shape or form. They are collectable for big boys and big girls like me. We love them. These do have a Choke Warning on them although why anyone would give something like this to a little one is beyond me.
