(More customer reviews)Because of a pending scheduled hospital stay, we are getting to open many of our Christmas gifts early, in case they may be helpful during the stay (for instance, movies, comfy new pajamas and slippers, books to read after the nurse wakes you up to ask you whether you're asleep), and my son just received this from a friend. Now, I do agree that the price is going to frighten off all but the most diehard Stitch fan, but this is a really, really well made plush, and like 99% of Disney plushes, soft as all get out, stitched and put together perfectly, great in its' colors and material, and stamped as a Disney original. Stitch has his Santa hat and scarf on, and they're just so cute - I am almost embarrassed at this wealth of presents, but we also received the larger one where Stitch, beside the hat and scarf, is also holding a large Christmas ball in his paws. To tell you the truth, if that item had a photo to accompany it (it is on Amazon, but without images), I would tell you to get that one, because it is twice as big and more detailed - but you'd be going on my word that it is the better one for the same price. This is why it's so important that sellers put pics on, if at all possible...amyhow. Needless to say, my son - a Stitch fanatic - is thrilled, and the two toys are guarding our Xmas tree at this moment, and they look very, very impressive. I can't imagine a child or collector not being tickled to pieces by the specific item being reviewed (from what I understand, the one with the Xmas ball is even harder to track down). And so, I just wanted to pass onto other parents who are almost too used to payiung ridiculous prices for a little bit of fluff and material...I'm going to have to say that I thought this one was worth it, and if you can swing the cost, it will be a gift that will probably be taken care of and loved for some time, rather than tossed under the bed a few weeks from now on.
