These items are wonderful to fill out your Little People city. Durability seems very high. Educationally it is high because you can teach your child who the firemen and medics are.
Both cars are a perfect smaller size that is easier to steer than the bus or minivan. The fencing pieces fit perfectly in size with any of the fencing pieces from other sets. (The zoo, for example.) The actual garage has two yellow buttons on top. When a button is pressed, the door below pops open and a siren will wail. The same action happens with the other button and door, but the siren is for fire instead of ambulance. However, the buttons are somewhat difficult to press for younger children; my 2 ½ year old can barely push them all the way down.
Overall, this is a GREAT toy for the price. The cars make all the difference; my daughter loves to play with them. Enjoy!
