(More customer reviews)I see that there are only two reviews for this toy, and I realize they are mediocre...I'm not understanding why this is.
I'm a big toy collector. I have thousands of toys, and this is a great one. One of the other reviewers is correct: There is some assembly required. I don't know what's wrong with the one they got, but as for mine, it was easy to assemble and it has stayed in one piece since I put it together. I'm sorry, but this is a TOY. Of course it's not fair, or realistic, to expect it to hold together if a child throws it off a bunk bed. It's not a real dragon! You may be thinking I have no room to talk, since I'm a collector. However, my 6 year old nephew(and 3 year old niece) have spend countless hours playing with this figure and there have been no problems whatsoever. But maybe that's because my niece and nephew are aware that a dragon toy isn't a real dragon, and can't be treated like one...hmmm.
As for the other review, stating this figure can't stand well on its own...what? When put together, the dragon stands on all fours, and his tail sits on the floor. In fact, it's pretty darn hard to make this dragon NOT stand on his own. His wings aren't heavy enough to tip him over, his tail keeps him from falling backwards and his head isn't heavy enough to make him fall forward. I'm really not understanding these comments.
All in all, this is a quality figure that is a great likeness to the dragon in the film. I realize this is the "Night Fury" dragon(they just released not too long ago a specific "Toothless" figure), but I just call him Toothless, as it's the same type of dragon. I'm planning on buying one for my nephew for Christmas, he'll surely love it. The toy is a good size, easy to put together, and durable. What else is there that could make it better?
