Disney's The Lion King: Interactive My Singin' Simba Review

(More customer reviews)My 4-year-old daughter received this for Christmas. She loved it - she had been asking for it for about 2 months. It broke after one week. It wouldn't sing or dance, even after installing fresh batteries. We had a gift receipt, so we took it back to Toys R Us & exchanged it. The second one broke after only a few days. My daughter is not unusally rough with it, so there isn't anything we're doing to make it break. I e-mailed Disney to just see if there were any known issues with this product, like defects, etc. Their response was that they couldn't help me in any way because it was purchased from a 3rd party. I went back to Toys R Us again to exchange it for the second time and believe it or not, it broke in the car on the drive home. I even tried to change the batteries & reset it by turning it off & on again, but nothing worked. I cannot believe how poorly this toy is manufactured. I have never been so dissatisfied with a toy.

Monopoly Disney Edition Tin Parker Brothers Review

(More customer reviews)This is a very special edition of Monopoly, based on the animated films of Walt Disney Studios. It sold for $75 to $100 new back in 2001 as a limited edition. It comes in a nice tin metal box with a tight fitting lid. The board is themed and referenced to 20 animated films. The moving pieces are all Disney characters, and they each are much large and heavier than normal Monopoly movers, big and heavy in a classy way. They each look like the statues you would see at Disneyland. The characters are: Pinocchio, Lady and the Tramp, Mowgli from the Jungle Book, Alice from Alice in Wonderland, Snow White, Peter Pan, Dumbo and Sleeping Beauty.
The money is themed on Disney characters, such as Uncle Scrooge on the $500 bill. Instead of houses and motels, you have White Rabbit Cottages and Sleeping Beauty Castles. There are 28 Deed cards, 16 Magic Moment cards, and 16 Show Time cards. There are 2 insert trays to use during play and storage to keep all the pieces organized. All in all, very cool. Our family has a few monopoly games, we received this as a gift and this is the nicest I have seen. I love the prominent picture of Uncle Scrooge, Buzz Lightyear, Disney Princesses, and others on the board.
It is understandable why this game is prized by collectors today.

Disney 9" Finding Nemo Plush Review

Ben 10 Alien Collection - Gwen with Greymatter Review

Yeah, I know, she's dressed as Lucky Girl, Gwen's super hero persona from a few episodes of the TV show. Wouldn't this be the "Battle" version of Gwen? I digress.
Yeah, her outfit is purple (in the show, it is black), but she's still pretty cool.
I've put a lot of wear and tear on her, and she only has a few chips in her paint.
She's a very durable figure, so Ban Dai gets points for that.
Your cast gets a little more complete with her. As someone who played with toys like this A LOT when I was younger, I am very happy there's a figure of her. It is hard to have realistic playtime if the foil for your main character is MIA.
Gwen is in every episode of the TV Show, so I'm glad there is a figure of her at last...now all we need is a Grandpa Max.

Disney / Pixar Up Movie 11 Inch Talking Plush Figure Dug Review

Is he cuddly? Definitely.
Is he overpriced? Oh, you betcha. But that's what I get for not shopping around this time.
Is he loud? Most assuredly not. You almost have to put your ear to his chest to hear him.
One potential problem is that the batteries are not designed to be replaceable. Says so right on the tag attached to his ear. If you want to replace his battery in the (probably sooner than later) future, you'll have to do major surgery on poor Dug. :-)

Mattel Ratatouille Little Chef Remy Review

(More customer reviews)Being an adult, I love my kiddie toys. I like having this toy on my desk at work. It makes me smile to turn it on and watch it move once in a while. The animatronics on it are great for the price. Lots of movement. But seeing how this toy is geared towards someone many years younger than I, I must caution giving this as a gift to a younger child. The toy is hard, heavy, and not at all cuddle-able. I should also mention that it is loud when activated (I'm guessing that was done in order to cover up the sound of the moving mechanical parts). It has a few delicate parts, such as the arms and ears, that may easily become damaged if banged into. I have not tested this myself nor will I do so. Why would I want to attempt to break my own toy to see how durable it is? I'm sure they may be some "safety" mechanical features that keeps this toy from breaking easily. There aren't any real interactive features to this product that the advertisements may make you think. The only thing it does is respond to something that is moved close to its nose and mouth. How many times can someone make it respond to something that simple before they get over that feature? Less than 10 I suspect. Don't expect this to keep any child entertained for more than 5 minutes. It works great for myself because I love the character and I love having it dance for me on my desk when I need a pick me up.
