(More customer reviews)I really like this Frodo figure.First,it's a toy before
it's a collector's statue- the sword fits in the figure's hand
in a nice way,the arms and legs can move decently without spoiling the look of the figure, and it isn't fragile for a kid
to play with like recent figures aimed more at collectors.Like
the recent Star Wars figures, this one achives balance between
collectable value and toy value.
Second,it's pretty neat- it really looks like Elijah Wood
(the actor in the movie),has a fairly decent painting job and
has a well sculpted body (that means, you won't get any ultra- muscular Frodo here, unlike *old* Star Wars toys.)
Finally,if you are a parent reading this trying to decide
wheter or not you should buy this figure to your kid,I can
offer you this:I understand all the concern about violence in
a kid's playground, but the message here is more about what's
right to do:The lord of the rings is an extremely moral story,
and this is Frodo, the good guy who will overwhelm any evil
temptation in the end to remain good.A nice toy to have!
