(More customer reviews)This horse was an amazing gift to my 6 yr old daughter who LOVES horses AND barbie so it was a homerun gift for sure!
Got it home out of package, put the batteries in it, worked literally for all of 20-30 seconds before making a loud crazy clicking sound inside. NO force or drops or anything, in fact nobody was even touching it, it walked a bit stopped, fell over and started clicking loudly.
Called the number on the box for service at Mattel, spoke to a guy who said "oh yes item J9488, hum your the 3rd call today I have had on this item" (and it was only noon when I called) so I guess others are having trouble too.
They don't have the horse in stock to send a replacement, so their solution was to send a check for $28 that is of course AFTER we mail the broken item back to them at Mattel.
Spent a good 30 mins driving around today, walmart target and toys r us are out of stock, so now I have a 6 yr old who wants this horse, mattel has none to offer (wonder why) and I can't find one to even swap it out with.
Not sure if we got a bum horse OR like the phone rep and other reviews here state, we might just have a bum product.
Try explaining that to a 6 yr old though.

(More customer reviews)Don't make the mistake I did! Felt horrible after paying $60.00 for this item & then receiving item from seller with a price tag of $19.98. I had NO idea this was a collectible item! I was only after a Christmas gift for my niece who loves both Barbie & horses. After a little more investigation, & the seller very kindly explaining to me via email contact, I realized I had not only gotten a great deal on this item at $60.00, but the $19.98 price sticker very well may increase the value, as it is the very price tag from when the item was originally offered for sale.
Both Amazon as well as the seller, Angie's Toys & Games, provided me with great service & value in this transaction. Can't give specific feedback on the product, as it will remain a gift for my niece, & she may choose to keep it in collectible condition or to simply play with it. But I know just from looking at it in the package that she is going to enjoy it immensely either way!

(More customer reviews)We got this toy for my daughter's 8th birthday. She takes horseback riding lessons and my older daughter jumps as well, so this present was by far the favorite. My girls already love to play horse jumping games and this horse is perfect for that. The jump itself is a bit of a hassle because you can move the poles around and they fall off easily, but other than that this toy has been a huge hit around our house.

Waiting for their turn in the jumping competition, Barbie and her Palomino friend Tawny are in top shape for the show ring! Sporting a stylish pink animal print helmet that matches Tawny's saddle blanket, Barbie is sleekly athletic and shapely in her white satin riding pants. This is an ideal toy for the equestrian-loving preteen girl. In Shape and Ready to Win Looking spry and athletic, this Barbie doll features fully posable limbs constructed of hard plastic. The doll's body has a full range of movement. When the horse "trots," it looks as if Barbie is posting; when preparing for a jump and the horse's limbs are fully extended, Barbie naturally leans forward in the saddle. Even the doll's head moves in subtle angles: Canted at a coy, 45-degree angle, it looks as if she's entreating the judges for points.Designed for Robust Play In general, the design and construction of the doll is excellent. She has an updated look and wardrobe and she is sturdy enough to withstand robust play. A minor problem is that Barbie's boots tend to slip off and don't fit well into the stirrups.
