(More customer reviews)My 11 year old daughter received Mia (the American Girl doll of the year for 2008) from her Grandma for Christmas. Since the doll is now retired and they have a new 2009 doll of the year all of Mia's accessories are VERY hard to find and when you do, they are VERY expensive. Mia and her accessories are now collector's items. The skates are ADORABLE! They were hard for my daughter to put them on, but not hard for me. The little mp3 player is cute, but only plays a high pitched tune. The headphones are actually pretty neat...they feel like real headphones. Everything fits nicely in the bag, so it can all be kept together. I wouldn't pay the inflated "collector's price" for these things, but am very glad we got everything before the prices went through the roof! I would suggest another American Girl doll if you are looking for your daughter. I doubt a child would understand everything you have to go through and pay to get your hands on these.

Our Generation Shoe Collection and Storage Set Review

(More customer reviews)My niece (age 6 now) absolutely loves the Our Generation toy line. Over the past couple of years, I have presented her with a host of items: a couple horses, a pony, three dolls, the carrying case (oooo'd and ahhhh'd over when she boarded the plane to go home with her parents recently), the beauty chair, bathtub and this shoe collection so far. She is flat out over the moon for everything! The quality and diversity of products for this toy line is fantastic. I sincerely hope the design team got a HUGE bonus (or "royalties") and lifetime jobs at Target for this extremely well executed concept.
A note of caution (sort of) - these toys are huge. They are NOT Barbie doll size. You could easily fill an actual bedroom sized room with the entire line. Just FYI - I had no idea how big they were until I saw them in person at a SuperTarget. Amazing detail!
The sole complaint I have is that I would prefer the entire line be manufactured here in the United States. I would unequivocally pay more for the toys to have them made domestically. They are that good!
