(More customer reviews)A handsome prince of Mirkwood forest, the fair Elf Legolas journeyed to the land of Imladris (Rivendell), taking part in the council of Elrond to determine the fate of the One Ring. He was chosen as one of the nine to set forth on a quest to destroy the One Ring, and his skill in battle quickly proved his necessity! He was also renown for forming an otherwise unheard-of friendship with the Dwarf Gimli.
Legolas comes dressed in the armor given him for the battle at Helm's Deep, with his bow of Lorién (complete with a stock of five arrows from Rohan), his new Rohan sword, his oh-so-cool double blade-knives, and a look of determination on his face. His long cloak is permanently attached, as are his Rohan armor, his sword-sheath, and his quiver. His Rohan sword fits nicely into the sheath that hangs at his side, and his two knives fit into sheaths on his quiver. His Elvish hair is slightly slung in front of his face, to make him look action-oriented.
His heels, his knees, his arms, his elbows and his hands all move freely to create a vast array of cool Legolas poses. (Slashing Orc with his blades, in the middle of drawing his sword, drawing an arrow from his quiver, or just standing there looking cool are some of the ones I've experimented with) His Lorién-bow has its Elvish inscription on it, and can actually shoot the arrows! Legolas's action-figure hands do not have the strength to create the "about-to-fire-an-arrow" pose, but you yourself can fire an arrow. (Just make sure you know where you're shooting, and that you won't lose the arrow!) The high-quality detail (His blades are engraved with the Elvish inscription, his arrow tips are detailed with some sort of serpent-head type carving, and his leaf-brooch, a gift from the Elves gleams on his neck) definitely makes it worth the price!

Marvel Legends Sentinel Series Figure: Black Panther Review

(More customer reviews)I love this figure. I got the Wonder-Man, which is basically just a head swap from this body, but much prefer my Black Panther. Why, you ask? Better motion in the articulation (no defects, perfect tightness), i like the purplish black paint job, i love the sculpt details (claws on fingers, "talons," on boots, face mask pull around nose.) He poses well, the cape is a great touch, and the included extra, the Sentinel part, is my favorite BAF yet, so no complaints there either. BP represents, y'all.

Return of the King 6" Figure III: Eowyn Review

(More customer reviews)I found this figure in my local Wall-mart for 7 dollars. I was so suprised because i realised it didnt come out for another month(i found it 3 weeks ago). Eowyn is going to be one of the hottest figures and rarest of the ROTK line so grab her while you can. She has a purple dress with a brown vest covering her upper body. She has dirty blonde hair to her shoulders and comes with her sword. It has a gold handle and a silver blade. But be careful,the paint comes off the sword handle pretty easily. She also has a sword slashing action which is very cool.My favorite pose is if you make both hands hold the sword and it looks like she's ready for battle! My only complaint would be that she doesnt come with a sheath. So i had to make my own out of a twist tie. If you find this figure GRAB IT! It fits in PERFECTLY with all the other LOTR figures! Eowyn is going to have one of the coolest scenes in ROTK. Grab her and recreate awesome battles!Thanks for reading my review!

Moria Orc Review

(More customer reviews)This is THE best orc out. Is sculpt is great, and his paint is mindblowing. The paint gives great rust, metal and dirt effects. Not to mention the gloss used on the eyes and teeth.
His accessories are super-wickedawesome-amazing. The helmet looks great when on, and the sword and sheild have a very crued orc-look to them.
He can only strike a limited amount of poses, but they are all cool, and they give him a very authentic look. Also, he doesn't have an action feature, and I would call that a GOOD thing.
If you don't have this Orc, buy him. He's the best one to date.

Lord of the Rings Trilogy Fellowship of the Ring Action Figure Series 4 Super Poseable Boromir Review

(More customer reviews)Ever since the Fellowship of the ring came out in 2001 (wow, time flies does it not?), the figure I wanted to get the most was a Boromir figure. But alas, he was the hardest of all the charachters to find, surpassing Gandalf in rarity. Now, four years later, I finally get my hands on one. Was it worth the wait? I'm pleased to say that yes, it is.
Boromir is a new "Super-posable" figure that has thirty points of articulation. He can bend at the shoulders, elbows, wrist, legs, knees, feet, toes, waist and head, which means that he can get in a lot of poses for you to mess around with. One feature I really liked is how his fingers can do a clutching action. Put his sword in his hand and you can close the fingers so the figure now securely holds the sword. A very nice touch
The paint and sculpt work very well. Boromir is mostly dark blue/black, with red and yellow/green specks on his overcoat and upper arm sleeves. The scult on the figure is pretty good. The face (probably the most important feature) does look like Boromir, but is slightly off, as if Boromir has aged a few years.
The detailing on Boromir is great. Everything he wears looks like the movie, from his shield to his sword. He comes with his big shield, his sword, the horn of Gondor, and a throwing knife.
One thing Toybiz does very well is the inclusion of small details that other toy companies miss. I'm amazed on they can create such fine detail down to the smallest groove. The white tree of Gondor on Boromir's arm pads look exactly like the white tree, down to the roots. The back of his shield has wood grain! Toybiz even included his throwing knife that appeared on screen for exactly two seconds (before becoming embedded in a neck). In a nice touch, Boromir's clothes and cloak have brown smudges on them, suggesting that he's been traveling for quite a while. Very nice.
The only real quibble I have with the Boromir figure is that the face sculpt is only slightly different then that of Sean Bean (Who did an incredible job as Boromir), and that the grip of the hands is not as strong or secure as it could be (Holding the shield is a really difficult task).
Other then that, I'm very pleased that I finally have my own Boromir figure. It's been a long wait, but it's been worth it.
