Thomas And Friends Wooden Railway - Thomas the Tank Engine Review

This train will not teach my child quantum physics, advanced calculus, or how to share. It, and other members of the "Shining Time" line, are absolute favorites. Unlike similar train sets, the magnets stay put and the wheels stay on. Every surface is transformed into a rail line. It even stands the test of time from a teething baby brother (although not recommended as a chew toy). The price is reasonable enough to accumulate an entire set over a short amount of time, which leads to a happily cluttered bedroom, family room, and kitchen. It also helps teach the fine art of organization (parental).

Thomas Wooden Railway Systems give little engineers a rich world to discover and explore as they re-create their favorite Thomas and Friends adventure. Thomas is a cheeky, fussy little engine. He's often getting into scrapes, usually by being overeager to do things best left to bigger and more sensible engines. Made of North American Maple, this top-notch wooden toy is elaborately detailed and built to last. Designed for use with your Thomas and Friends Wooden Railway System (sold separately), this Thomas Engine measures approximately 4 inches long.

Neville is one of Thomas' new friends featured in Season 9 and "Tales from the Tracks" video and DVD. Neville is a steamie who almost looks like a diesel. When he first arrived, Thomas saw 'Arry and Bert tease him and thought he was friends with them. Later, rumors spread around the yard that Neville was a bad engine who was plotting and scheming with the diesels! Neville sees the engines run away from him. Thomas tells him that he is bad and Neville heads toward a broken bridge. Thomas saves Neville and learns he wasn't a bad engine after all! As seen in the story "Thomas and the New Engine"
