Shrek Kung Fu Princess Sleeping Beauty Review

My daughters love the Disney Princesses...so we took a chance and got the Sleeping Beauty doll. This doll is larger than a typical Barbie-style doll, but it is still very nice.
The doll has a beautiful face and dress...and karate clothes underneath! Its legs move to the side for "karate kicks", too...
It also came with a necklace for my daughter, which she loves.
Overall, a winner! :)

My Little Pony Ponyville Roller Skate Party Cake with Pinkie Pie Review

My Little Pony Ponyville Roller Skate Party Cake with Pinkie Pie

Pinkie Pie has her own balloon house and now is the owner of Ponyville's roller skating rink. The designs for all the My Little Pony "Ponyville" houses have been exceptional and this doesn't break that rule. This looks like a birthday cake with balloons decorating the house and what looks to be a candle and flame at the top. It comes with one pony, Pinkie Pie and some assorted birthday themed tiny objects - cake, table, and a scooter that has rolling wheels she can ride (the pony has a hole in one "foot" that lets it sit on the peg that holds it onto the scooter so she doesn't fall off).
It's very cute, very pink and cleverly designed.
HOWEVER, three complaints with the house.
ONE - it's made of a thinner plastic than the heavier Teapot Palace and Balloon House. It has not been a problem so far, but it seems more breakable, especially the part that opens on the bottom into the skating rink.
TWO - Hasbro made a set of "bumper cars" that came with two ponies that were sold seperately. The bumper cars SHOULD have been a part of this package because they obviously GO with the house, instead of the scooter (which seems like they had a surplus of with other Ponyville mini playsets so they threw one in here). Its just not as fun or unique without the bumper cars.
THREE - Pinkie Pie's rollerskates do not roll. The wheels are molded on plastic. Which is a bummer.
Buy it for the house, but don't expect to have the complete experience without the bumper cars. Both my kids enjoyed this for awhile but not as much as more interactive toys that have more bells and whistles (like the Teapot Palace).

Murder Mystery Party - A Murder on the Grill Review

Murder Mystery Party - A Murder on the Grill

The box says this is for "Adults", especially since the game contains some flirty statements and descriptive accusations in the script. At the end of each script or dialogue each person had to accuse others of being the murderer, based on facts in their script booklet. The party planner's book gives great suggestions for props, music and food. We checked out a 50's CD from the library and played it all night long. We also had a hula hoop, 50's book and a 57 Chevy prop to go with the theme. The end had quite a twist, which made it fun and interesting. Overall, a fun game! Requires about three hours to play game. Note to Party Planner: Read through the first dialogue of the part you play to better understand how the dialogue should go. This will help you better explain to others. Have fun!

The Great Dalmuti Review

The Great Dalmuti
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
My friends and I have been playing this games for years. The rules are simple, the play is quick, and the perks and penalties add to the fun. Our Great Dalmuti has a tall top hat to wear and a leather armchair to sit on. The Greater Peon has a pathetic floppy cap and a hard stool. We have been playing with the German version, since that was the only one I could find back then. I'm glad the English version is back in print.

In The Great Dalmuti, life isn't fair. One round you're at the top of the heap, and the next you're peasant scum in this fast-paced card game of medieval one-upmanship! Players take their places in the pecking order and try to get rid of the cards in their hands. The faster you do, the higher you'll go. But don't get comfortable, because in a single hand even the lowliest serf can knock you back to the fields. Sound unfair? Sure it is! But the sweet taste of victory could make it all worthwhile. For 4 - 8 players.Playing Time: 60 Minutes.
