(More customer reviews)Most folks buy products made by Plan Toys because they are 1) environmentally friendly (replenishable wood and vegetable dye paint) and 2) well crafted and durable. This living room set meets all expectations and is a nice addition to the doll house (we have the Plan Toys Victorian). Yes there are sets out there with exquisite detailing but I like it clean and simple.
These products have spurred many many hours of creative play and I can attest to the durability -- my youngest has "stolen" the lamp countless times only to be discovered when I step on it (still in one piece).
When my kids are older I may populate the rooms with some of the small items offered by Plan Toys. Not yet though.
I was not too surprised to see this very living room set (as well as other Plan Toys rooms) at the Brooklyn Children's Museum in an architectural play area suffering constant abuse by a never-ending queue of hyper kids. All the pieces were intact (including the lamp).
