I got it for my 2 year old son with a bunch of Smurf figures, and though he doesn't even know who "the Smurfs" are, he was INSTANTLY enamored of the whole set-up. All the pieces come apart, so this is not for 2 year olds who still like to shove things in their mouths (mine does not).
My son enjoys taking the house apart and helping to put it back together, which is no doubt related to his 2-year-old obsession with puzzles and blocks. The thing is also totally indestructible. I did not find any problem with closing the doors or windows, as the last reviewer did. I bought it three or four months ago and my son still plays with it of his own accord at least a few times a week. And likes to take his Smurfs and Gargamel to bed with him. I DO recommend this product.
