Before finishing the game for the night, every guest at the party wanted his own copy! It's instantly addictive! The categories are broad enough that no matter what the topic - movies, music, tv, literature, sports, miscellaneous - everyone will be able to get involved. The game was perfect for someone with an attention span shorter than most commercials; there is no waiting your turn! Everyone can play at the same time.
I've never been great at Trivial Pursuit. I couldn't tell you the difference between Ohio and Iowa and I can't name more than a few Supreme Court justices, but I could name every actor who ever played James Bond, the Simpsons' home address, and all of Judy Blume's books, so this game was perfect for me and my friends.

Pop Smarts is a sort of "anti-trivia" game for couch potatoes. It tests your knowledge of the hip (and not so hip) stuff you grew up with from movies, TV, music and more. Your categories are Movies, TV, Music, Books and Pop Pourri. Be the first to answer the question -- go ahead and shout it out! Comes with randomizer (like a spinner, but more fun), 30 plastic pegs, 200 cards, one wipe-off scorecard, a crayon and a funny instruction booklet. For added fun, everything comes packaged in a TV-shaped box. For 2 or more players.
