(More customer reviews)I now have 5 of these "world's smallest" and I'm thrilled with them. They come in durable tins with a lid that closes securely. No more ripped corners of the box. The pieces themselves are a nice thickness and durable. At first glance, I assumed the puzzle would be particularly difficult due to being small. Not so! No more difficult than any other 1000 piece. What it is is way more convenient. I have 2 small kids, and I really do enjoy puzzles.. its just not something that is practical to do very often. Huge 1000 piece puzzles take lots of time to do (and time is scarce for moms of toddlers!) and during that time, the table has been taken over. Not to mention the difficulty of keeping aforementioned toddler from destroying it, eek! I found an appropriate sized white board lying around that makes a perfect puzzle surface. I can work on my puzzles when the baby is napping. My 4 year old and I get to spend time together, me with my puzzle, her with a puzzle of her own, or clay, or coloring. And there's actually room for both of us at the table! I love it. Its easy to move it out of reach of the baby when I'm not working on it. Another nice thing, I can actually put the entire thing together from the same seat! Ever move to the opposite side of the table to put together the sky? No musical chairs!
I also want to give a shout out to the manufacturer for excellent customer service. I received a 4 pack as a gift (came from toys r us) that included a duplicate (and as such, one missing from the "4 pack"). TRU wasn't so helpful, but the manufacturer has gone above and beyond to replace the missing puzzle. They have been very helpful and will definitely be getting repeat business from me.
I should mention, I'm the type that when I'm in the mood for a puzzle, I go to goodwill to pick one out. If its 3.99, even if I really really like it, I go "meh" and keep looking for one thats .99-1.99. That said, these are some that I don't mind paying more for.
