Most of the time I put him down when he is sleepy to begin with, but the womb sounds bear has helped him to go back to sleep if he is waking up, having a hard time drifting off, or being generally grumpy. The sound is fairly soothing, you can adjust the volume, and it even has an automatic timer that makes it shut off after 40 minutes! Myself and my husband have both laughed, saying that it has helped US to go to sleep when it is on. Great buy for new moms or for a gift.

This little worm lights up with the slightest bit of effort, unlike the one I had 'back in the day' which took a few hostile body-slams in addition to pinning it down to keep the light on. She stays lit up for a fair amount of time and also plays a little tune.
We got this for our 10 month old niece who was fascinated with the lights, and also enjoyed gumming about it's soft rubber-like face. It's a great toy we all remember and it's nice to see it's made a comeback with some child-friendly upgrades.
They are much shorter than the one I had, but then again, I've grown 3 feet since that time.
