(More customer reviews)I got this for my sons 1st birthday and okay I gave it to him before his actual birthday and so glad I did. This is the "new" improved song & story chair and so happy with it. My son just loves it. He sits in it and hits the light to hear songs or the story, he stands behind it and rocks to the tunes. This has to be the best chair ever.

(More customer reviews)I ordered this for my daughters's BIG gift from Santa and it was delivered to my house this morning in the HSM3 box just like you would pull it off of the Toys R Us shelf. Just beware if you are buying this as a gift for your kids. You may want to have it shipped to work or somewhere you will not risk your kids seeing it. Luckily, my daughter was too engrossed in playing with her brother when the delivery guy rang the doorbell or her Santa would have been ruined.

(More customer reviews)My daughter received this as a gift for her birthday when she turned 1 year old. I thought it was a little strange at first and I wasn't quite sure if my little girl would like it, but boy did she prove me wrong! She LOVES this toy!!! When she first played with it, it took her a very short amount time to get the hang of it and quickly learned where the buttons are that make the music go... now she even presses the little buttons that change the modes on her own! Other reviewers complain about how small the button area is... my daughter doesn't have a problem with it and neither do I. It teaches your baby to be persistent and keep trying and once they "get it", it's second-nature, like riding a bike. I don't agree with the age range for this toy- I think it is much too advanced for a 3 month old- I would recommend this toy for age ranges beginning at 6 or 9 months, depending on the baby. This toy doesn't just teach numbers and counting, it also has several different modes which include colors and two different music modes. I would recommend this toy to anyone!

Vtech Preschool Learning Alphabet Apple Review

(More customer reviews)My grandson is 5 and has autism. Teaching children with developmental delays is challenging, to say the least. One must get their attention, then keep it, then make the best use of it. This "laptop" does all this and more. My grandson has owned and loved his Alphabet Apple for a couple of years and he is the only child in his class who can tell you the sound of all the letters in the alphabet. So if you ask him, "what does man (house, canary, apple, anything-at-all) start with?" he can tell you in about one-fourth of a second - even words he's never heard before, so this is not memorization! His teacher is always calling him "smart boy" - music to my ears! To be fair, he has a lot of laptops that gloss over the letter sounds, but this is the one that he plays with the most. He doesn't use all the features, or even use some of them properly, but it is teaching him something and doing a good job of it. I'm sure a neurotypical child would get even more out of it. We don't let this one get lost in the closet because he is always asking for his Alphabet Apple. Worth it at twice the price.

(More customer reviews)I bought this for my four month old daughter and it quickly became her favorite toy. And the music is actually fun for adults to listen to, so that's a bonus too! I love that there are three music modes to choose from: Each flower plays one note, the flowers play part of a song in sequence as the child grabs the flowers and full tunes played with a simple bat of the flowers. It helps keep the toy interesting. It's definitely been the best toy purchase I've bought so far.

This little worm lights up with the slightest bit of effort, unlike the one I had 'back in the day' which took a few hostile body-slams in addition to pinning it down to keep the light on. She stays lit up for a fair amount of time and also plays a little tune.
We got this for our 10 month old niece who was fascinated with the lights, and also enjoyed gumming about it's soft rubber-like face. It's a great toy we all remember and it's nice to see it's made a comeback with some child-friendly upgrades.
They are much shorter than the one I had, but then again, I've grown 3 feet since that time.
