Fisher-Price Grow with Me Kitchen (Exclusive) Review

We bought this kitchen last Christmas for our daughter when she was 16 months. She has loved it! We have now increased the height and she continues to play with it on a daily basis.
However, the durablity of this product is poor as far as the electronic components are concerned. It just suddenly stopped working and replacing the batteries did not solve the issue. I will add that Fisher Price was willing to provide a new toy, but I had to pay to ship the entire kitchen back first. A new toy would arrive in 6-8 weeks! Are you kidding!! Who is going to take their child's favorite toy away for 2 months? I might add that we had the same issue with the Laugh and Learn House. It seems that Fisher Price has durability issues with their electonic components. For this reason I cannot recommend their products.

I bought this for my team at work. We work hard and things get pretty tense. SO I bought the Bozo Bop bag inflatable. Then we hit it so much that we popped it - SO I bought these to try to make Bozo II last longer! All in all lots of fun, even for adults.

The Sing-A-Ma-Jigs- Dark Purple Review

The Sing-A-Ma-Jigs- Dark Purple

The big dilemma on these, initially for me, was which ones to choose. You'll probably want more than one - since half the fun is "playing them" together so they harmonize. (Note: they harmonize singing different songs - so it's not going to be everyone's cup of tea.) Anyway, below I've provided a breakdown on the various ones and why I liked this one out of those purchased.
As a pure review of the toy in general: Originally I was attracted to these for my just turned six year old niece because they reminded me of some sort of mad mash between a singing stuffed Barney dinosaur teddy bear and Mr. Bill of SNL fame. Either way, my niece, her friends, I, her parents and pretty much everyone else couldn't resist them. The three I purchased all came w/ worn down batteries that had to be replaced before they could sing the song. (I suspect an employee couldn't resist playing them at the store before they made them to us:)
Dark Purple is a fave, not only because the color has a natural appeal w/ pre-school princesses but it also can harmonizes both low and high (some are just high and some just low). The song is "My Darling Clementine" - which also oddly turned out to be a fave (given that her tastes run more towards Justin Beiber's "Baby")
Here's the other ones song choices/harmonizing options:
The Sing-A-Ma-Jigs - Mint Green- It's raining, it's pouring
The Sing-A-Ma-Jigs - Light Blue- For he's a jolly good fellow (don't know why they chose that song)
Fisher-Price The Sing-A-Ma-Jigs - Blue/Teal - When the Saints go marching in (might fit a house w/ NO Saints Fans)
The Sing-A-Ma-Jigs - Purple/Regular Purple - Oh Susanna! (I think purple models are the for harmonizing)
The Sing-A-Ma-Jigs - Orange- On top of old smokey (One of my faves)
Original Red - Where has my little dog gone?
The Sing-A-Ma-Jigs - Hot PinkHot Pink - A tisket, a tasket
The Sing-A-Ma-Jigs - PinkPink - Skip to my Lou
Original Yellow - Home on the range
New Yellow- This little light of mine
New Red - Yankee DoodleBOTTOM LINE: 4 - 4.5 stars - whichever of these you choose to fit your taste they're bound to get giggles of all ages. As a more lasting gift, I think about 3-6 is the real age range for them.

In the valley of the rainbows the Singamajigs live and play and their special magic when they start to sing each day. They sing to make us happy and bring bright and sunny weather but their magic is the strongest when they all sing together! Each different color SingAMaJig sings a different song!
