Everybody loves Lucy! In episode #116, "Lucy Gets In Pictures" originally aired on February 21, 1955 with the Ricardos and the Mertzes in Hollywood where Ricky, Fred, and Ethel all have parts in movies. Lucy tries everything to get a part, too but fails. Finally, Ricky gets Lucy the role of a showgirl, but her top-heavy headdress causes her to topple down the stairs and she loses her coveted role. Wily as she is lovely, Lucy finds a way to make her presence known in the film. Doll measures 13.5".

(More customer reviews)This doll set is in the Pink Label Barbie Collection. Lucy and Ethel are wearing matching pink uniforms with hats and Lucy has pearl earrings and necklace. They have their cheeks bulging with chocolates. They have wide open eyes with hair (not painted on) eyelashes. They are holding squares of paper with a cardboard "chocolate" in their right hands. These are probably removeable since they don't show in the pictures on the website. Lucy says, "Ethel, I think we're fighting a losing game!" in a clip from the show. The doll may say more but I have not opened it to see and the box does not say.
This is a cute set for any Barbie collector or lover of I Love Lucy.

Barbie Collector I Love Lucy: Lucy Tells the Truth Doll Review

(More customer reviews)The latest doll in the I Love Lucy Barbie line is almost as cute as the others...her face looks sort of "wild-eyed", but that's because of the episode it is from. Lucy was scared of the knife throwing act. Anyway, her look is relevant and cute but not quite as cute as other dolls in the series. It's really funny though. I think they did a good job on the design of it. I picked this one out in a store rather than order online because each doll varies in hair and facial expressions, and I picked out the best one I could find.
Her outfit is cute, and her hair is nicely done. It's elaborately curled. She has earrings on that are cute. There are cardboard knife handles sticking out of the board behind her. The one thing I can't understand is why Barbie dolls since the 90s are so spare in their packaging and leave out some details. You get cardboard items/accessories instead of plastic or fabric most of the time. In the episode, Lucy is memorably holding a scarf, which you can even see pictured on the doll box. Would it have hurt the company to add a small piece of fabric to the doll's hand...it would have looked better and added a nice touch. Especially for the price they charge. Interestingly enough, some sites are charging more than this one, but we found it cheaper in the store we went to. You have to shop around, but if you can't find it, Amazon is probably the best place to order it from.
I hope in future Lucy dolls, they add more details like the (missing) scarf. I would have rated this 5 stars if they had included that important detail.
Worth buying if you collect them as we do.
