(More customer reviews)If you've seen the movie, you know what I mean--that little monkey tugged at your heartstrings and captured the imaginations of everyone I talked to about the film. No surprise someone had to make one as a toy! And yes--I had to add it to the 'zoo' around here.
This toy is high in 'cuddle value' but I'm not so sure I'd give it to a very young child--maybe a pre-teen or an adult with a monkey fetish like me. I'm concerned with the tassle 'hat' coming apart and being eaten. Otherwise, the sock monkey should be pretty durable and easy to take care of.

This chimp is so realistic that in no time my mom was feeding and cuddling him. He will even continue to move and make sounds if you are not playing with him, almost as if he is trying to get your attention. This is a gift for all age groups not just children.

Ty Beanie Babies - Bonsai the Chimpanzee Review

My son walks around with the monkey all day long. I couldn't live without having this soft, furry little friend in our lives. My son loves him so much. This animal is very well put together and is very durable.

He loves children, but hopes they don't pull too hard on his arms, legs and tail. He also likes to travel to parties and meet new people - the more exotic the location the better. Pleeplepher is an excellent listener, as he is very patient. When he is not attending parties, he can often be found in my kitchen guarding my tequila.

I could have purchased the official sock monkey from the movie for 60 dollars more, but I like to save. The only difference between this monkey and the one from the movie is a small monogrmed heart on his chest. My husband loves the sock monkey I purchased and would kill me if he knew I was telling anyone. A plus item, quick shipping...no problems.

The website feature to this toy is great. It keeps my daughter and niece entertained for hours. They love going online together to check on their animals. The website is nicely done. One log in for all the stuffed critters they own. There are games and contests to play in order to earn new stuff.

My 2 kids ages 3 & 1 love the show, so when I came across this adorable George in PJ's I just had to get it! He is SO soft and cuddly. He's the perfect size for little arms to hold. The PJ's and bear are really cute. They were originally sewn on with just a few stitches, but I cut the stitches so my kids could take them off and on. They love dressing George, and cuddling him. He is too cute!!!!
