(More customer reviews)If you've seen the movie, you know what I mean--that little monkey tugged at your heartstrings and captured the imaginations of everyone I talked to about the film. No surprise someone had to make one as a toy! And yes--I had to add it to the 'zoo' around here.
This toy is high in 'cuddle value' but I'm not so sure I'd give it to a very young child--maybe a pre-teen or an adult with a monkey fetish like me. I'm concerned with the tassle 'hat' coming apart and being eaten. Otherwise, the sock monkey should be pretty durable and easy to take care of.

The gyroscope can really balance on the tip of a pencil, or on the base included in the box. It uses scientific principles, and when it slows down it will sometimes spin horizontally on the base! Very cool!

(More customer reviews)My 4 yr. old love Buzz and really liked this toy as well. I don't know why the other review said the plastic was cheap - perhaps they fixed it up, but the plastic on this is just fine. I like too that it is a full sized potato (not a spud) and the parts are interchangeable with all the other Mr. Potato parts. The back pack section is kept firmly on with the arms in place, and his wings attach to the back pack easily and securely. The front section of the suit is held on by a potato loop that goes under the teeth (like the mustaches do). I wish that Playskool would have made a unique nose and lips closer to Buzz's nose and lips in the movie instead of using one of the many "standard" parts - but they do that a lot. Love the shoes.

Duncan Imperial Classic Yo Yo Review

(More customer reviews)My daughter (16) received a low quality Yo-Yo as a gift and started to do fairly well with it. It was clear from the start that Yo-Yo was not so well balanced and was not one that she would be able to to use to do a lot of tricks. She bought two Duncan Yo-Yo's, this one, the Imperial, and the butterfly yo yo.
This Yo-Yo made a big difference from the cheaper one she had right away. Even my wife and I were able to do basic tricks with the Duncan Yo-Yos and my daughter is able to do some fairly cool things with it.
This is a great low tech toy (no batteries required) that can still entertain kids. It has "passed the test of time".
Highly Recommended!
