I can't say enough how wonderful these new Universal Monster Retro Series dolls are. The detail and care that went into their creation is magnificent. Frankenstein's body is fully posable - with flexible joints at wrists, elbows, shoulders, ankles, knees, hips. The head turns both directions and and torso swivels as well. This doll has no problem balancing in a standing position, sitting down without falling backward, or striking any number of other fun poses. The photos really do not do these figures justice as the attention to detail in their creation is amazing. Frankenstein's polyester clothes are just as fun as the figure itself. He has a green jacket that attaches with a small snap (a la the old Remco monster dolls of the early 80s) and a black short sleeved shirt underneath it. His brown pants are high-waisted in the style of the 1930s (which I thought was a nice touch) and they also have a small snap on the back of the waist to allow their removal. And maybe the most fun element of this great Frankenstein doll is the fact his black, plastic platform boots are also removable! You can easily take them both off to reveal the monster's strangely delicate feet. This is indeed a wonderful little creature! The exposed plastic parts of the figure (head and hands) contain lots of nice details without feeling overly articulated. I know other fans may disagree, but I prefer these "Retro" dolls over the highly articulated "Select" series of Universal Monsters that Diamond Select is also releasing. The Select figures are too "wrinkly" looking for me and they are intended for display only since they are not posable (which makes them a little less fun, I think). I feel like these Retro dolls are a great balance between cute and creepy. As a child of the 70s, they harken back to the old Mego superhero dolls I had and the Remco glow-in-the-dark series of classic monsters I got for Christmas around 1980. I still wish I held on to my old Remco monsters, but these new Retro Universal Monsters are actually even better than the Remcos. I can't wait for the release of Dracula and the Mummy. Sounds like we'll have to wait until October 2011, but I'm sure they will be worth it. I wish they would continue with this series so we can see other fiends like the Creature from the Black Lagoon, the Invisible Man, the Bride of Frankenstein, and the Phantom of the Opera. If you are looking for big monster fun, I highly recommend this Frankenstein doll. No electrical current needed!

Barbie Collector Twilight Saga New Moon Jacob Doll Review

My nine year old loves twilight. She already has Edward and Bella which she plays with alot. She does not play with Jacob. His pants break open every time you bend him at the waist and she does not like his hair either. Like Edward, Jacob's knees do not bend. So Jacob just sits in his stand on her desk. Since she is Team Jacob; this appears to be enough for her.

Doll is inspired by the Jacob Black character from the New Moon movie, which is based on Stephenie Meyer's New York Times Best Selling book series Twilight. The stunning doll is created in the image of Taylor Lautner, who portrays the handsome and protective Jacob werewolf character. Shirtless, doll displays washboard abs and Quileute tattoo. Doll is wearing cutoff jeans and black sneakers. In the "New Moon" plot, Bella Swan is devastated by the abrupt departure of her vampire lover, Edward Cullen, but her spirit is rekindled by her growing friendship with the irresistible Jacob Black. Suddenly, she finds herself drawn into the world of the werewolves, ancestral enemies of the vampires, and finds her loyalties tested. The perfect additions to your Twilight collection, no matter which "team" you're on!
