The doll is very cute as are all the AG dolls, but I find it outrageous that an available doll is being offered on Amazon for almost twice the price you can get from the manufacturer! People might see the listing and conclude that it costs even more elsewhere, which is just not true.

The stories are well-written and explain the doll's accessories, as they pertain to that era in our history. my only gripe would be the doll's hair. As an African-American, I don't know anyone with hair that unmanageable and it also shed-- A LOT. Other than our troubles with Addy's hair, I would HIGHLY recommend this doll and the books that tell her story.

I had to pay more by searching online but it was worth it. The seller was quick and we exchanged several pleasant e-mails. Most of all, my Grandaughter was overwhelmed with the doll and we had fun searching for clothes online for Kirsten..also more expensive but at least available!
