The Cantina Band is back, with all its original members! While most people don't know their names, Figrin D'an and the Modal Nodes are some of the most recognizable extraterrestrials from the original Star Wars film. These musical aliens set the tone for one of the most unforgettable scenes in movie history-- and now they can be yours! Previously a retailer exclusive, this highly desirable commemorative set of artistic action figures comes in a fantastic window box package. It features five 3 3/4-inch characters with their instruments, as well as removable cloth vests and a bonus collector's tin that spotlights the artwork of Ralph McQuarrie. Each figure is fully poseable with articulated wrists and elbows that allow these performers to really rock out! During the Clone Wars, the Bith Jazz sensation was at its peak and Figrin D'an and the Modal Nodes rode that wave all the way to its zenith. Star Wars Jabba the Hutt Deluxe Figure Review

(More customer reviews)I've been wanting a Jabba toy for some time and this one almost meets my expectations. Jabba is about 8 inches long and 3 1/2 inches high. I would have liked him to be a bit larger since he such an emense character, but the amount of detailing mostly makes up for that. Jabba is appropriately covered in wrinkels and sports a multi colored paint job. The blending isn't perfect when viewed up close but from a short distance he's very life-like. Only Jabbas torso and arms are articulated wich give him limited posability, but we are talking about a slug character here.
Included with the figure is a stand that holds his pipe (with a flexible mouthpiece) and a fish bowl that includes a rabbit/frog like creature. Jabba comes holding the creature (by way of a clear rubber band) but you can store the little guy in the bottom of the pipe to keep him fresh for snacktime.
Although there is room for improvement with this Jabba figure (a bit more care in the painting, the ability to hide that gross tongue and an articulted tail would have been nice), there's no denying that he looks pretty cool amongst my other Star Wars collectibles. If you're a Jabba fan this is a no-brainer.

Star Wars Deluxe Vehicle - Y - Wing Review

(More customer reviews)Yes it is very big, but that is the point. Hasbro has had trouble in the past making scale vehicles to figures. Not in this case, I believe that it is one of its selling points. Finally Hasbro has started to make scale vehicles!
Pros:
To scale (finally)!
Cockpit seats two figures.
R2 Unit slot has a secure brace to hold it in.
Big, bright and beautiful.
Cons:
Front cannons can bend very easily.
Has a weird "opening" in the middle of the ship that in my opinion doesn't need to be there.
- In this opening, there are a set of missile launches that pop up and reveal the inside of the ship. (I imagine they are not there)
Landing gear had a tendency to collapse if not on a completely hard surface due to the weight of the ship.
Overall this is a great ship for collectors, but children may have a hard time maintaining it due to its weight and the type of plastic its made of. If you are a collector, add this ship to your fleet, you will not regret it.

Star Wars: Episode 2 Tusken Raider with Massiff Action Figure Review

(More customer reviews)This Tusken Raider is certainly an improvement over the mid-1990s version. However, in avoiding the problems with the first, this version has a stiff plastic robe and little articulation. It's still a pretty good figure with a strong paint job and sculpt, but there are limited options for posing him. Fortunately, nearly a decade or so later, Hasbro released the Star Wars 3.75 Vintage Sand People Figure, which is absolutely stunning.
