(More customer reviews)After looking at many wooden dollhouses, I decided to get this for my 2 year old. It's the right size, mobile and has a lot of rooms to play with. She plays with it often and her playdate friends just love playing with it too. Aside from the furniture that came with it, I bought a living room set with TV, the master bedroom set, and cleaning set (how neat). We also got the family from RR's line and a Calico Critter's family. The Calico Critter's dolls have clothes that can be taken off so she puts the clothes in the washing machine and dryer.
All the items are well made and not too small (ok for toddler hands). I love the fact that I can just throw everything in the house, close it and put it aside. It has magnets to keep it close and I don't have a problem with the hinges opening when I move it around. The only thing is that one part of the house isn't closed so things might drop off if we swing the house around too hard.
I do wish that it has a ladder so that my daughter can learn the terms, going up/going down..but the pros outweigh the cons on that. There's 6 rooms/compartments. Two of them are big..and the other 4 is half of the big room's size as that's the part you close up. So, you can't really fit a lot of furniture in it. There's no paint inside the house but outside there's a bit of pink but my husband said it's not too much to deter a boy from playing with it. We just had a boy so I wanted a toy that last long enough for him to play with too.
All in all, we're happy with our dollhouse and also with the furniture choices that's available for the house.
