(More customer reviews)I let my 3 year old granddaughter pick out which Fairytopia playset she wanted herself, and she chose this one. On the plus side, she seems to really enjoy it, and plays with it for an hour or so at a time, even if she is playing by herself. It is very colorful, and has a lot of different moving parts to stimulate the imagination. On the down side, the swing does not want to stay in place, and falls off if you try to use it. Some of the pieces, including the 2 figures, are very small, and I would not recommend this for a child who puts everything in their mouth. Overall, I would rate it a good toy for the price, but not great.

(More customer reviews)I got this doll in the 90s for my b-day. This was my favorite barbie. She has the longest, slikiest, most beautiful hair. I loved this barbie so much. I played with her 24/7 abd I took her everywhere I went. I played with her until she broke. It made me so sad. If u like mermaid dolls with long hair this is a doll for u!!!! She is so pretty. U will love her!!!

(More customer reviews)I love this doll! The wings are enormous, and she's much prettier then the old Elina. The wings are made of fabric, and let me warn you not to leave her as a mermaid to long or when you make her a fairy again her wings will look a bit crumply. Also, when in mermaid stage, her body does not bend. Don't force her to bend or she could brake. She's still fun even if she doesn't bend when a mermaid. And I advise that if you don't have room to store about 1 foot of space for this doll not to get it.

They are very durable and with the wand they get their little mermaid tatoos and they get highlights! Has to be my favorite doll (along with Merissa) in the Fairytopia doll line-up!!
These would make perfect gifts, especially for your little mermaid!

Shella Doll Barbie Fairytopia Mermaidia Review

(More customer reviews)My daughter received this doll for her 5th birthday. She was so excited because she has always wanted a Mermaid Barbie but I could never find one. This year with the Mermaidia movie released, her and I were both thrilled to see Mermaid barbies on the store shelves! She loves the movie too. She loves playing with this doll, especially in the bathtub where you can change her haircolor and "bodyart". The hair changes color easily but the body art takes a while to get it to full and bright color.
My only complaint about this doll is the tail. My daughter had this doll all of one day before the fin snapped off the tail. It was the end of the world for my daughter. The fin part of the tail is very poorly made! I ended up buying a new one for my daugther and she was been so very careful with that tail. So far it's lasted almost 2 weeks.
